“Vacation & Holiday Pay”

I was at Lowes yesterday getting a new faucet for a sink when this sign caught my eye:positioning services - Experiential marketing learning for independent consultantsThose are features, not benefits.Benefits are usually phrased as beneficial changes, beneficial results, or desirable outcomes.Features are the concrete, specific things that may or may not cause or create a benefit.I’ll translate the first 3 features on the sign above into benefits, and leave the rest for you to do on your own as a marketing skill-building exercise:

  1. Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage: Spend more days of your life feeling healthy and able to really enjoy time with your family and your hobbies.
  2. Vacation & Holiday Pay: Spend more holiday time with friends and family without having to take unpaid time off from work.
  3. Employee Discounts: Spend less money on building supplies, tools, household stuff, truck rentals, and anything else Lowes sells.
